Six More Down!
I thought I'd learned my lesson on Thursday, but guess not... figured I'd give the airport run another shot. Yeah, still took me forever, but I did take a short-cut walking home (although I got turned around a bit walking through the Arlington Highlands shopping center). At any rate, I took advantage of the high 60's weather and knocked out another six miles.

Only six more miles to go... Almost done!

Closer to the Finish Line...
Knocked out six more miles today. Weather lightened up to a nice 55 degrees, and I set out to find a new running course. I ran around the Arlington airport, and bit off a bit more than I could chew, I think... After six miles of running, I had to walk the rest of the way home (an extra half hour). Lesson learned, eh?

Six more miles down (finally!)
Heya folks,
Yesterday I knocked out six more miles after a long-overdue hiatus (due to the move, of course). During the course of my run, I was attacked by a crazy little dog that looked like a white poofball with jaws. Fortunately, I escaped the devilish beast with nothing injured by my pride. I imagine the sight of me high-stepping it away from a maniac fluffy puppy must have been quite amusing.

Happy Holidays, everybody!

Final Tally
Thanks, Marc, for dropping fifty bucks into the donation bucket! A very generous contribution to a great cause. Thanks, Jeremy & Alley, for also donating fifty bucks to Heifer International. Your gift will reap rewards for generations to come.
The final tally for Running for Livestock 2008 is $360. Tremendous! I have to catch up on a few miles, so I'd better get running!

An update...
Hey folks,
Just wanted to give you an update on my Running For Livestock effort. Friday, November 21st was my last day in the Navy, and the weekend was spent driving cross-country from Virginia to Texas. We're doing our best to get settled in, but the schedule's been pretty full with the fast-approaching holiday and the on-going job search. The movers arrive with our stuff on Tuesday, so I should have some time to knock out a few more miles later next week.
Hope all is well!
